Howdy. I've always been a fan of reading and learning about WWII, and I'm very much a fan of WWII strategy videogames such as Company of Heroes and Men of War. I'm a grad student in Canada, and in my spare time I've started work a on WWII strategy PC game of my own, and will be doing lots of research to make it as authentic and respectful as possible. I look forward to researching various topics on this forum with you guys.
w Welcome to the Forums! That is great that you would like to carry on WW2's legacy into the gaming world, we will thoroughly enjoy your participation and presence here.
Disappointing. by the titIe was hoping you were developing a game animal something like a giant moose, but with teeth like a sabertooth cat and long claws, perhaps something that could drop out of trees on unwary hikers. A WWII strategy game would be cool also, just not as cool as a genetically mutated super-predator. .
Thanks for the warm welcome! Hi Alan. I'm at the University of Saskatchewan pursuing a masters degree in Computer Science. My thesis is about the effects of lag/latency in videogames. Haha, that sounds more like what you'd find in a horror game. Perhaps a first-person VR game where you have to survive a night-time hike through a forest. From both your username and the link to your book (I assume you wrote it?), you either like bears or hate them, a lot. Not sure which.
But... koalas are supposed to be cuddly! I've made a thread outlining my game concept. Let me know what y'all think.
Always happy to have a warfare developer as well as a fellow Canadian join the site. Welcome aboard! Heading over to your game concept thread now...
