    Thank you for the welcome. I myself am from Rhode Island. My interest in The War stems from my Grandfather..who served in the 29th Infantry. He was among the first wave to land on Omaha. I recall myself and my cousin as small children..rummaging thru boxes in our grandparent's basement..and finding the many things that he brought back. It was the greatest of treasure hunts. How I wish I had some of those things now. Sadly..some..(patches mostly) were lost to childish ignorance.

    Rhode Island is one of the greatest places I visited in the U.S. I loved Newport and Providence. I used to hang out in a club called the Rocket , I saw some great concerts there :cool:
