OK, I voted for the Stug by J Calhoun. My reasons are:-

    1. The base colour is well done (more accurate) with good subtle weathering (suitable for a fairly new vehicle).

    2. The overall build quality is again good (best of the bunch so far as I can see)

I voted for the Sturmgeschütz as well. The Jagdpanzer 38 photograph isn't good enough for me to properly evaluate it, but either that or the Jagdtiger would probably be my second pick.

It's pretty close actually - I think that the Stug is just about the most convincing - it's also a more interesting subject - more lumpy and dynamic - but I tried not to let that influence me. Actually I would happily give any of them shelf space.

    Thanks for sharing, chaps.

    :)

I was hesitant to vote, since I've had models in shows, and the feeling at voting time sucks.

However, I also voted for JC, based solely on my first impression of each model as I viewed it. Color, tone, weathering, all look good, but JC's looked the most realistic to me as I viewed them.

PLEASE, please, please, none of you feel discouraged by my comments. None of them looked bad. They all showed good effort, and attention.

It seems to take forever to get the knack, but when it comes, you'll feel really good about it. Honest!

I voted for JCalhoun's StuG. In my opinion, it gives the best overall impression of all. I like particularly the colours as well as the work on the side. Also, 1950willys' Hetzer seems very nice too--it would be my second choice.
Overall, all of you have done a very good job! :)

    Dear all,

Due to unforeseen computerproblems (my computer crashed two days ago) I will not be able to complete judgement on the models for a while.
I send you all my deepest apologies and promise I will get back to you as soon as I'm able to.
    thanks,

    PP

Dear All, and ofcourse mostly JCalhoun,

It had a long time coming because of my computerproblems, but the team's decision on the winner is finally done. The ranking on which we decided is as follows:

    1. JCalhoun
    2. SturmTiger (shared second place)
    (3)1950's Willys (shared second place)
    4. Boba Nette
    5. -DMPN- Founderer

So first of all I'd really like to congratulate JCalhoun with his victory!
Ofcourse the forum Team decided that you deserve something of a winner's prize. We therefore designed a certificate that we'd like to send you. If you just PM me your emailadress, I'll send it to you as soon as I can.
Secondly, You may decide which tank family is going to be the subject of Group Build no. 2!
I really hope that we can make GB2 as succesful as part one.
Many thanks to SturmTiger for bringing this item to our attention and all the ideas and efforts he made to accomplish such a nice competition.
    Greets,
    PP

Thanks PP.I hope everyone had as good a time as I did. This competition kind of pushed me to do the best job possible.Although the finished vehicle is similar in workmanship to the many others I have built,I do believe it looks a tad bit better.I hope the next Group Build is just as successful.
