Since I've finaly managed to master the art of picture posting i'll just show u sum pics of guns that ive seen.
For some strange reason I recognise the pistol here..... Nice one Dave! (Although Caroline wont thank you for the memories of what broke her toe (An M1911A1 falling from the top of a wardrobe hurts, trust her!)) Good to see that you've stripped it and managed to do so without loosing the mainspring!
, I can almost strip it down and re assemble it blind folded now, (its taken alot of practise but im getting there lol) just as a side note the other guns do not belong to me (unfortunately) the G98 is a deact from the rifle club i go to and i am currently restoring it(it hasnt been cleaned for about 10 years and is situated over a fireplace so its colloected aload of crap on it), The Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.2 also belongs to the club.
Heh, heh, I used to be able to strip and reassemble it blindfold in under 30 seconds, you have a long way to go young Dave!
show off yes i do have a long way to go but i'll get there in the end, just so you kno im getting more kit for it over christmas ie, combat knife, spare mags and sum other kit.
Yes the ugly bugger in the army smock is me. the M<auser and Enfield pictures were taken at the rifle club i go to, the BAR and Owen Mk.1 taken at bovington and the 1911A1 at my house o yeh and cheers JCalhoun
just as another little note im trying to pursade my old man to get my a Bren gun(deact) or maybe a Enfield No.1 Mk.3 but he seems more interested in an MP34
the easiest way to tell them apart is to look at the bolt handle, length and rear sight. the G98 has a straight handle and the arched type of rear sight, the K98 is obviously shorter and has a turned down bolt handle but keeps the orginal rear sight. the K98K has a turned down bolt handle and a different rear sight to its ancestors also the postitioning of the rear sling swivel is different the G98 and K98(well i belive so) have swivels underneath the stock whilst the K98Ks stock has the swivel intergrated into it.
more pictures A Bren Mk.1/2 (has a Mk.1 body but a Mk.2 barrel. A Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.3 (SMLE) A British 1907 Bayonet (top) and a American M3 combat knife And finally the 1911A1 and pistol belt
