My ancestors were Scandinavian, not Irish. However, they did make a couple of "visits" to the Isles. Does that count? ;)

Happy St. Patrick's day to all...........I am engaged in securing a bit more wood for the heater......now nearing the end of the wood pile, one finds that one failed to split all of the thick ones and those remaining reflect this severely, meaning it is getting hard to find something in the wood pile that actually fits through the furnace door.......hence I spent a portion of my day splitting woods that should have been split by the slaves of late fall (moi) so I am really mad at that fellow for not doing the "whole" of the job but then again.....it is exercise on sore bones and muscles. As we have been predicted to have a cold front coming in with possible mountain snows......(something cold could happen again)......one must listen carefully to weather reports for rural areas that are never completely accurate so one tries to second guess what is predicted for that more accurate quantification.

Oh, I neglected to mention that seeing Royalty in green is much less enjoyable when one has to envisage bony shapeless knees.....one ought to photoshop such things out of the picture if one is truly proud of their royalty. Such a thing can greatly offend one so poorly reared to the respect of royals when trying to capture the mystique of it. Do all from this region suffer this bony knee phenomena or am I misled by the dimwit of my conclusion.

I had my snowball trailer out on the parade route for the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Baton Rouge. Actually, that spot I was in is my regular season spot too. Did pretty good overall, $500 in sales. Not bad considering there was another snowball stand 50 yards from mine. It was a great day.

Guinness Stout=black stuff. Beer with green dye in it=green stuff. Either that or something a manly leprechaun sticks in a girl leprechaun.

I had some of that too. Not too bad served over shaved ice. Looked ugly though.

Guinness with ice? That's just wrong. I almost gave you negative rep for that. ;) (j/k, of course. About the neg rep, that is. Stout & ice should never be in the same room at the same time.)

Maybe so, but I was outside along a parade route and warm beer makes me go pee too often.

Oh, yeah. I forgot you were in Louisiana. Next time drink something like Bud or Miller. They're already watered down, so you won't notice the difference. :p

By the way, even the President takes his Guinness room temp, don't you Mr. President?
