On my game im on 1955 (i changed to code so i can play to anytime i want hehe), there is a new world order; germany and Japan dont exist anymore (they are USA territory now). i played with Brasil and conquered all south america, declaring war to the US and all allies this way.. however, after conquer it all, i invaded mexico while the americans were fighting on Europe, then they came back and lanched a major assault on north of mexico, i saw about 6 millions mans coming from US to destroy me lol, well i desperatlly offered peace to UK, about 3 times it refused and US killed a lot of my troops on mexico.. however i managed to make peace in time so i keept mexico to myself (but i lost venezuela and guatemala, witch was not surrended tottally and was on allies time) still now i made pact with Russia and joined Commmiten. Now the world is divided, the UK threath to Soviets grows everyday and its a lot of like the Cold War, its very cool man, also Romenia joined the commiten too, and we force (invading lol) Turquie too

 

I was expeled from this stupied site because accidentally i told them my game is not original (i downloaded on internet) lol

 

Lol, I do know how to do it manual I just think letting my generals do it is more fun and realistic. Its what they are there for.

Ps. Whats this about a nuetrality cheat? How do you do it?

 

For cheats just press the ` button under the Esc button. A window should pop up type in "noneutrality"

There are others but I don't like cheating that much. Only when I feel it's the only way to get around the block in my path

 

I like to use the noneutrality cheat when I'm just playing for fun and like to think of it as an alternate history setting where the nation i'm playing as is much more aggressive. I did it with Norway and united Scandinavia.

 

Guys someone give me a light here pleeease:
I got hundreads of troops around the world on my 1962 game but like 95% of them are WITHOUT any leader
I dont know why, my officer is 117% now... i wonder if its something to do with promotions on officers i must do manually? can someone help me?

It probably does have something do with the your officers promotions. If it is then you will have to manually raise/lower their ranks, depending on the unit you are assigning them to.

I made the same thing with Sweeden, but i didnt cheat at all, just played it on Very Easy, plus i conquered the UK island at 1946, still i can play up to any year i want (i change the enddate on the defines.LUA file, its much more fun than cheat, u should try it

 

People seem to consider the time end function to be cheat since it is not in the original clause of the game. But I believe in reality there is no limit to a war that can be so simply stipulated. The war will go on as long as the war goes on, and if ww2 goes into the 1980's then so be it.

 

Woot I just bought this game, I hope it's as good as I hear it is. I'm not a big strategy buff but it looked too good to pass up.

 

The reviews I read on the game, says if you love the whole global strategy game then you will love this one. However if you don't then the chances of liking the game are low. I for one love the game.

 

Hey guys can someone help me on Moddding?
I dont know if the game is bugged or not, the fact is i just cant get more generals (leader of division, coorps or anything) after a certain number is achiived with Brazil...
I wanna some help to change the codes on the savegame file so i can get more generals active to use on the armies...
this is the entrie i think i must add the codes, however i cant add more generals (i dont know their id codes and the ones i try to use gets conflicts with others and the savegame loses all its troops!)

Can someone plz help me to add more Generals (leaders) to my Brasil?

i tried this the problem is if u promote the 2-star general that a Coorps have for example, u cant use it on a coorps anymore.., if u promote a 1-star general from a division, u cant use it on division anymore, just on coorps now.., so how i cant promote manually the ARMY troops i have? shall i create more armies or groups then?
im very confused with all the chain-command system, i still not figger if i must use the Group (xxxxx) or just from armie (xxxx) to theathre (xxxxxx)? and shall i put 3 or 5 divisions on command of each coorps? and shall i put 3 or 5 coorps on command of each armie?

The game system is so complicaded that im trying to manually add the generals on the savegame codes..

Oh yeah I'm addicted to it, but still learning how things work.

 

You don't have to use all of chain of command in the complete X-XX-XXX-XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXX order. The reason you do it is because for every Commander of these groups his attributes and talents filter down into the lower ranks only, losing some of his attributes for each lower level. So if you use this complete set up then your lowest Brigades, or Divisions will have a much better chance of winning due to the small percentages of the attributes passed down.

This way also by using this set up you can also manage the computer objectives easier, for example, if you give a XXXXX (say on a complete western front) an objective to hold the entire front, the commander will move all of your troops in every direction screwing up your line. However if then have a XXXX for (using Occupied France as an example) holding the English channel, then a second XXXX holding the Atlantic, a third holding the Med and the Swiss. You use the XXXX objectives and only set objectives in his area of battle that way your troops don't end up everywhere. You can also set the airforce units to the specific XXXX HQ's that way you will always have the airforce where you need it and not 20 fighters patrolling an area where no enemy planes will be, which is what will happen if you put the planes directly under the XXXXX HQ.

When you think about it, it really does make sense.

 

I screwed up horribly in my Romanian campaign over the Holidays. Having easily defeated and annexed Bulgaria, I set my sights on Greece. I was worried Britain might try something, but good relations with them may have kept them out. Anyways, after walking through half the country with ease, I suddenly discovered two motorized divisions that my intelligence had missed (damn Spy's). I had pulled three corps of some 10 divisions away from Greece and toward my next planned target of Hungry, when those two divisions counterattacked. They decimated six divisions and took back most of what I had captured before damage control was able to isolate and destroy them, but the damage was done. I no longer have enough divisions to both defend the Boarder with Russia, and expand into Hungry. I need to remember to keep more units in reserve.

 

ouch, that really sucks.

 

I still haven't really gotten into HOI 3 yet...have as of yet to really sit down with the game and play. I find all the new...stuff to be a bit overwhelming, I think. Since I am off all this week, I think tomorrow might be HOI 3 day...I'll start with the USA so I can get the basics down, then go with my beloved Italy.
