What do you think would've happend if Hitler succeeded in his plans to make an atomic bomb using heavy water?

Also, if he did where do you think he would've used them?

Hitler would have used them. There is no doubt in my mind about that. The problem would have been a delivery method. We have discussed this before and the Luftwaffe had no plane capable of carrying an atomic bomb of the 1940's.

Let's just skip to the targets though. I started to think it would depend upon the time frame they became available. I changed my mind. He would use the weapon on the Russians. The Russians were primarily a slavic people which the Nazi doctrine considered sub-human. The Russian people, either in a concentrated city area or in a troop concentration would receive the attack. After the news got around about the devastation then he would have used that power to blackmail and bully what he wanted out of everyone else.

Russia would be at the top of the hit list for Hitler. Just as well they did not succeed I hate to think how many of these Bombs he would had used.

If Hitler and his generals fail to realize the harmful effects of radiation, using numerous atomic bombs in Russia would render their "living space" useless for decades. Ironic though.....

Sending all those scientists away from Germany due to racial problems was like giving the bomb away. Well, I consider that just a good thing.

Also a while ago in a documentary it seems the German scientists left in the country had calculated that the critical mass was something like 50 tons for Uranium. Nobody could make that big a bomb ever. So I guess that´s why Speer was told they could not make the bomb in one year, because nobody could get that material within a thousand year with the available methods.
