I’m new here. Thanks for allowing me to join! I’m trying to compile information on my late uncle. He landed on Omaha Beach a week after D-Day. There are plenty of histories out there on D-Day itself, but does anyone know of one that talks about the beaches about a week after the first landings? I’m just trying to understand what he might have experienced there a week after the battle. Thanks!
Hello, I'm new to the forum so not sure of correct protocol regarding the threads...but here's my search request. My aunt served as a nurse in the army. she received her diploma from Abington Memorial Hospital, (graduated in May of 1943) and joined the army the following year. She was assigned to the 113th Evacuation Hospital and was sent to England in December of 1944. Her unit moved throughout France, England and Germany during the winter and spring of 1945. I found a site (Unit Histories | WW2 US Medical Research Centre) which provided details of WWII medical units but couldn't find any information on the 113th. I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks and please forgive any newbie stumbles if I've posted in the wrong thread
