Hello I'm Natasha otherwise known as tattyteddy. I have a very keen interest in World War Two. I have been interested in the military vehicles since i was young. I am an ex air cadet and made the rank of Instructor Cadet Flight Sergeant i did cadets from the age of 14 and i enjoyed it alot. I have especially been interested in the RAF and due to being a cadet to I am joining the RAF soon hopefully to be a logistics driver. My interest in WW2 has grown and i am now a proud WW2 re-enactor. I am part of a small group called RASC44 we are a Royal Army Service Corps and Auxiliary Territorial Service group. There are four of us at the moment in the group. My partner and I own two Leyland Hippo 10-ton GS 6x4 cargo lorrys (his and hers as they say). I love doing the WW2 re-enactment because it is my favorite thing to do and it also keeps the memories of all those people alive and shows young people today what they did for us back then. Glad to be here Natasha.
Hi guys glad to be here. Here are some pics you asked for. My parnter really wants me join he says he wants me to follow my dreams and that he will follow me where ever i go.
Here are a few more pics for you. Two pics are of me as a cadet one taken just before take off in a Merlin helicopter and the other is me standing next to a P-51 Mustang.
Hello Natasha and welcome to this fine place! Much to read here and many a fine Rogue offering great discussion. Jump right in! Cheers!
Those are some fine pics and that is a rather large lorry. I bet it is a challenge getting through some of the narrow streets over there. Cheers.
Great pics Natasha, looks like a fun hobby Okay guys, don't be so parsimonious with the rep points. That trucks looks great.
thank you for the lovely welcome. Im glad you like the pictures. i will become an erk i won't stop until i get there. I dont mind sharing I many more pictures of various things and some of my friends lorries to. It is a large lorry i will admit that especially compared to me lol. It was an interesting time getting through those french narrow streets. On one ocassion we turned out of a small road round a sharp turn and we had to shunt round i lost count of how many times we had to shunt. we caused chaos. but it we had a great time. It is a fun hobby because we do it for fun as well as telling the public the history of wht happened we also do it to keep the memories going of the soliders. Its also good when veterans come up to you and say 'i remember driving that lorry in the war' and they tell you all sorts of interesting stories. thats ok each to their own as they say. At least nobody has said its American yet!
