    Hi Guys,

A friend of mine is restoring a Australian army XM570 (XM short for Experimental) I believe the model is correct amphibious vehicle, Some features include aluminum tracks and body it also has a tracked PTO drive trailer made and designed for use in the Vietnam era.

I am told there were only 5 ever made for Experimental purpouses.

We are having trouble finding any information on it's use and deployment.

Finding ID tags, Model, serial numbers are very hard to find also.

The head light assembly is rather interesting as each one features 4 lights 1st standard head lights, 2ndblack out lights 3rd cover over lens light, and the 4th very dark lenses that look like they could be for infrared?.

Powerful horizontal engine (Sounds like an airplane) and a massive DynaTrac gearbox.

Can anyone help with photos or information of these vehicles?.

    Steve.

    Hi Nigel,

    Thanks for the tip.

I did try to contact Hans but his email is no longer in use, I may have to check back with him as he says on his page that the email address is disposable due to spam.

    I will keep trying.

    Steve.

Do you have any photographs, or perhaps alternative designations?
    Manufacturer even?

    Cheers,
    Adam.
