Hello all, newby here. Hate opening with a request for help right off the bat but hoping to identify the rank and unit if possible of a WWII German tunic as below. From my own attempts at identifying I've not got much further than the orange arrow on left sleeve being Signals? Orange around shoulder boards, yellow collar insignia.

This isn't a genuine military jacket, it's from British film/television/stage costumiers Angels and was used in 80s British sitcom 'Allo 'Allo. I'd just like to identify which rank and unit such a uniform would have been.

Thanks for any help or direction pointing that can be offered.

    Karl Williams.

He's a private, and the patch in the third picure says he's a radioman, or signalman. There would, in peacetime, be a regiment number in the shoulder boards, but in wartime, for security, there wouldn't. I hope that helps.

Listen very carefully, I shall say this only once.
