Help please with my ww2 german binoculars

    Hello i have this binoculars and case i have tryed to find out what the initials mean on the top but i cant find a thing about them any input and help will be much appreciated

    My first thought was just the original owners initials. H. J. could stand for Hitler Jugend though. The I could be a 1 as well. They were part of the 1 SS Panzer Division at one point I think. That seems a bit tenuous to me though. Hopefully some of our experts will chime in soon as I'm far from the most knowledgeable about these things.

    Like I said I'm far from an expert. Just realized I haven't seen anything from Skipper recently. He's one of the best on topics like this. Hope he's ok.
