Tomorrow, 7 February 2011 at 6am ET/5 am CT, Turner Classic Movies will broadcast 'Here Comes the Navy' starring Jimmy Cagney, Pat O'Brien, and Gloria Stuart. Though not a WW2 movie per se since it was made in 1934 nor a 'great movie', it is of interest because it was filmed aboard the USS Arizona. A wonderful time capsule on life aboard this iconic ship. Herr Kaleun, I'm out of salutes so I gave you a rep. Thanks for posting! I hope I can get on of my friends to tape it for me. I always wanted to see that film for the Arizona being in it.
I repped Ivan too. I only got to see the tail end of this movie, and that was over 3 years ago. I liked Cagney and O'Brien well enough in it and I wish they would release this on DvD.
Wait, I just saw that Gloria Stuart is in this? Pretty cool she was on two of the most famous ships of the 20th century! : )
