What if Reinhard Heydrich had survived the Assassination attempt.
Could he have taken control from Heinrich Himmler before Himmler fell out with Hitler?

And one little point I would liked cleared up was it true Heydrich kept files on everyone including Hitler.

After reading about Himmler´s biography I´d say Heinrich was more ruthless that what he looks like. If Heydrich had any thoughts of taking over he´d have to be extra careful because otherwise he´d lose his head pretty soon. Reich was full of people lurking over your shoulder and probably Heydrich was busy holding onto the position he had. Don´t know if the position in Czech was a promotion really.

I´ve read about Heydrich´s files but I only recall that it was supposed to have info on a a suspicious Himmler´s relative, and vice versa Himmler had files on Heydrich´s Jewish ancestors. Balance of fear?

I bet Himmler was relived on hearing the news of Heydrich’s death and by appointing Ernst Kaltenbrunner who I believe had a bit of a drink problem and a thug a lot more easy to control.

I think to put it simply, If Heydrich had survived, a lot of people wouldn't be alive today.

So how could Heydrich had removed Himmler I suspect by careful planning and stealth by manipulation in high places.

No. Himmler was Hitler's loyal subject and because of the strong trust between the two, Heydrich would not succeed in overthrowing Himmler. The best he could do was become the second strongest in the SS heirachy.
