Hi... I'm looking for (and sharing) info on my Grandfather Kenneth McDonald. He fought on Makin, Saipan, and Okinawa where he received his purple heart. He was in the 27th Division, 105th Infantry, 3rd Battalion, Company I.

My other Grandfather (John William Bodkin) served in the Navy in the Pacific as well on an LST - not sure of much else.

Hi Lou, it is him!... where did you come across that? I actually was looking to see if I can find the M1 Garand serial number he may have used either during qualifying or during the war (a needle in a haystack for sure)..unfortunately doesn't show on this card. Thanks.

I came across it at Fold3. I'll look a bit further to see what I can find.

Thanks to both of you for the help. Based on a Google search of LST875, it looks like he participated in Okinawa as well.
