Nice poll tomcat, I'm looking forward to seeing the results. I'm pinning it too.

As an fyi, the magazine option is moot, I've never, ever advertised this site. Not even by joining another website and PMing their members. ;)

Oh ok I didn't know if you had, then I am betting that most members have come from either search engines, such as me(it is funny I wasn't even looking for a forum, just a site about the British airborne) or through the sister from.

Haha I just realised I misspelled forum on the poll question, can you change that?

For me, it was via a link and recommendation on 'Sommecourts' website, which I'd Googled into ( but we're talking mid-2002, here....:( )

I found this forum accidentally. It was past 9 pm last year in a private Quezon City hospital. I was bored and I just finished reading R.A. Salvatorre's book the Thousand Orcs for the thousandth time. Since the room came with a pc, I decided to surf the web for World War II stuff. And I found this great forum.

After joining a much more broader based forum I decided I wanted to join one that was more WWII specific. This was the top result for my search so I joined

I corrected the spelling for you, and even removed the magazine question to make the poll a bit more specific.

I had wanted to discuss WW2 things for along time with people but at national level definitely not enough people to do that over here.

I did check several forums in the net and followed discussions back in 2002 and I decided after a couple of weeks that WWII Forums was definitely the best place to be....

Funnily, enough, I was actually searching google for a forum about WW2 (My Key Words where 'World War 2 Forum', and, lo and behold, this was at the top of the list!

AS I have said somewhere else here, It was after I was Tyrannicaly shunned from an indecent internet society that shall remained unnamed, for doing little more than inviting a Friend who made his account on the same computer as me (so therefore he had the same IP address), and posting screenshots of CoH. Scoundrels.
It just seems they never understand greatness. :(

Although this place, however, is definitely the exact opposite of that place. :)

I found it looking for another forum.

I was a member of the other Ottoforum, WW2talk, before Otto stepped in and saved it from yet another round of absentee landlording. Anyway, a few weeks later, I was at my mom's house and wanted hit that forum, but could not remember the URL, so I googled something like "WWII forum" and this old rag popped up. I looked at it and saw that it had a lesser Limey infestation than did ww2talk, so I joined here also and post at both places now, using the same name at both places
