    Hi folks,

I'm new to the forum, I am reaching ot to the WWII community to introduce my self and let people know about my work. If you would be so kind as to visit my website you will learn about a documentary from WWII that I am building a following behind and working hard to get off the ground.

Beyond the Call of Duty: The Baalsrud Story, is its name and it's just an incredible story. Look forward to hearing from anyone interested in learning more.

    cheers,

    Seán

cheers man, nope, not my website, but an article published on my behalf by the site owners - http://www.btcod15.com is my website - but not sure that web links to your own stuff is allowed so didn't want to be impertinent and post it earlier =)

Hello Sean. Can you re-post the link to your site? Seems the link you provided just goes back to WW2F.

hi Lou - if that's permitted no worries at all - www.btcod15.com is the website. Will be adding new content bit by bit over the next month to give people an idea of what the documentary will contain and how it all works.

need as much support as I can get right now to fund it though.

If you have any questions about the story and want to know more about the whole Operation Martin background, please do post and I will gladly tell what I have learned to date, it's very inspiring stuff altogether. /Seán

cheers folks, hopefully this becomes a reality for me. working hard to raise the money at the moment, but it's a story I feel very passionate about yet one I can give an objective perspective on since I have no direct involvement or connection to it. There seems to be much of the story that is accurate but some points are hazy, accounts don't match up and that could have anything to do with how Jan was psychologicaly at the time of his report to National Pride from those involved. Since I speak the lingo i'll be able to go in and get an objective perspective on it all and tell it honestly, as it is.

The nub of the documentary really involves showcasing what it took to make a 1940's commando using modern people that are of varied ages and fitness levels and bring them to that psychological and physical state that they could tackle anything head on and never waiver.

So there is more to the project than meets the eye.

The people in Norway are very kind and cooperative, I think it's going to be very interesting to actually visit the places that this man endured some hardships most of us would simply whince at, the books I have read have been very informative but there seems to be an element of hear-say in them that might or might not be accurate - that's something I intend to shed light on.

It will also be interesting to see the culture shock that hits the participants of the documentary and watch as they become a team of very intimately bonded strangers that become family - but first, gotta get funded. Great that there is such a strong community that will be interested in watching the finished product though =) very motivating.
