Hey fellas. I was just wondering, although it sorta is a dumb question, but how many of you have fired a real gun?

Lucky you! :D I have never shot a gun, even though I live in the country.
I watched my friend shoot a diseased sheep on his dad's farm, with a .22 but that is the closest I have got to shooting a gun.

I used to attend a pistol club in the mid 1990s before the handgun ban in the UK where I regularly fired a 9mm Browning GP35, but also had the chance to fire a .38 special and .357 magnum revolver and the club chairman's 9mm Czech pistol (a CZ-75 I think).

I've also fired the L85A1 on more than a few occasions and the L98A1 converted to .22 LR.

Lastly I've also been clay pigeon shooting with 12 bore shotguns, and to be honest didn't enjoy it a great deal, give me pistol or rifle shooting any day!

I used to be an avid long gun shooter until the range I went to closed down.I rarely shoot my handguns simply because I prefer rifles.

I'm into shotguns mostly these days.
    I grew-up hunting ducks, upland-birds and small-game.
    Mostly just waterfowling these days.
    12 gauge 3 inch magnums. Semi-auto and over/unders.
I always carried the 28ga shotguns for grouse and dove.

Shooting clay-birds is always a hoot in the off-season.

    Hi.

The only weapons I ever had in my hands were a soft-air rifle and an inert Bundeswehr Panzerfaust 3....

    Yours

Well, I've shot with .22 LR pistols and rifles, .357 Magnum revolver, Rk-62 assault rifle and KvKK-62 machinegun (both 7.62x39mm), Suomi submachinegun (9x19mm) to name few. And oh, Zsu-23-2 and M72 LAW (unfortunatelly not hot one, just practice rockets and exotic modification with built-in rifled 7.62mm barrel).

A Ruger Redhawk is the largest handgun I've fired.
    (And 'brutha it's a handful.)
Chambered for .44 magnum and with a 7.5 inch barrel.
In a two-handed grip, I could feel it rotating in my hands. You hold it out front a-ways as it will rear-back and try to bite you.

.308 is the largest caliber center-fire rifle cartridge I've shot. (Remington Model 700 rifle.)

Yesterday at the club a couple of fellas showed up with a very big assortment of full auto guns. Many were WW2 vintage such as a MG-42, MP-40, Thompson, BAR, PPsh, Russian Maxim, Browning M-2, and STEN. There were also modern ones like the M-16A1, UZI, AK-47, RPD, MP-5, and Glock 18.

I was able to shoot the Thompson and BAR. :bang: :D
