I saw a picture of Waffen SS guys wearing fez caps with SS eagle and a totenkopf on it. Does anyone know what unit these guys belong to. I'm guessing they are foreign volunteers, but from were? Any help would be greatly apperciated.

I read that the division fought well against Tito's partisans, commiting atrocities of course, but they ran away when they had to face the Red Army...

Members of Handschar did wear the fez but I have a picture in a book of EWW Fowler with three man with a fez who belong to the Kama division.

To identify troops it's helful to look at collar patches, ärmelstreifen, shields and signs on vehicles.
