    Hey guys,

I am trying to track down a book I used to have, I can't remember the title and I thought it was written by Len Deighton, but was mixing it up with SS-GB. Anyway the only details I can remember are from the beginning about a soldier, who I think was German, being washed up on the beach on Jersey. Anything after that is very, very hazy. He may have wandered through some gardens, not 100%. As for the title I am 75% sure it has something to do with 'Silver'.

Sorry for the total vagueness, I just want to find out what the book was so I can get hold of it again as I lost it(and about 100+ more books) during a house move a few years.

Thanks in advance for any information anyone can share.

    Hi Eccy

It might be "Night of the Fox" by Jack Higgins. He and Deighton seem to have a simar style to me
