These Photos are from a couple Schiffer titles : German Infantry Carts etc... by Wilfried Kopenhagen ISBN 0-7643-1273-1 and German Light and Heavy Field Artillery by Wolfgang Fleischer ISBN 0-88740-815-X I'm Editing the Photos as I go So I'll add a few at a time. Were Going to start with the basic Heeresfeldwagens or HF Wagons.. THese are General use standard field wagons. First is the HF1 . HF1 is a Light 2 Horse field wagon This was the Standard Company wagon Issued to Platoon level. it had a 1.3 Cubic meter capacity, an empty weight of .61 tons and carried a 1360 kilogram load. THe HF1 was used in many forms: The HF2 is the Heavy 4 Horse Wagon: Empty it weghed 0.80 tons, had a 2.0 cubic meter capacity and could carry 1.2 tons.. This was the standard Supply Wagon of the Infantry Divisions.HFWa HF2 Action.jpg[/attachment:fd1de]HFWa HF2.jpg[/attachment:fd1de]LFW HF1aAction.jpg[/attachment:fd1de]LFW HF1a.jpg[/attachment:fd1de]
Now you have the Small or Kleine Wagons : The HF3 was the standard Small Wagon this wagon weighed 0.462 tons empty with a load space of .75 Cubic Meters and a load weight of 0.61 Tons. The Most Controversial and deadly wagon the Germans fiielded was the notorious All Steel HF7 Heavy Combat Wagon. This monster was Rubber Tired with an empty weight of 1.04 Tons and a load including Drivers of 1.74 Tons Amazingly this Behemoth was served by only 2 horses . Almost triple the load weight of the HF2... On the Eastern front this led to the deaths of thousands of horses.KFW HF3a .jpg[/attachment:29ad0]HFW HF7a.jpg[/attachment:29ad0]HFW HF7a Action.jpg[/attachment:29ad0]HFW HF7 Action2a.jpg[/attachment:29ad0]

Last pic is a food carrier (soppatykki) as we say in Finland. are they used in radio purposes only or am I misunderstanding.
you misread it. the post is mobile kitchens and radio wagons - I put the wrong photo up and couldnt edit it to get them back in order. the top and bottom are food wagons, the center are a telegraph and a radio wagon. =) I labeled the photos with the Vehicle types so it should be easy to determine which are which - Tomorrow Ill put up the wep carriers
Excellent series of photos, Gothard! Thanks! These will be of assistance with research project I have in work.

I would really like to see the thread keep going - This is a new site and the topic isnt very widely covered on the internet. Please keep your eyes open and check your reference books - If we can build up a big enough collection of horsedrawn images we may be able to use that as a base to expand the site..
I surely agree with you Gothard. But I can't see those photos here anymore... They are like attachements but when I try to open, comes "failed to load photo".
Thats server end - I've uploaded them to your server - they should open just fine. I can see them all. Every website has a gimmick my friend - Im afraid armor has been overworked - even though its a fascinating topic. By setting your website up to cover infanytry initially youll gain a large audience that cant find that kind of info anywhere else.
Ok Lets get a couple more pics in here... The infamous panje cart of Russian Fame alongside a field Kitchen and the HF7 near a pair of the Erfa 43 wagons. These photos come from Militarfahrzuege der Wehrmachct vol. 1 ISBN 978-1930571273panjea.jpg[/attachment:642c8]h103a.jpg[/attachment:642c8]fka.jpg[/attachment:642c8]HF7anderfasa.jpg[/attachment:642c8]
Heres some odds and ends - the Fieldkitchen from my previos post.. an HF1 in action and the IF5 used for 50mm pak as well as a towed 37mm PakFR44Stolenfarmcarta.jpg[/attachment:9d866]WagsinaRussia.jpg[/attachment:9d866]37mmpaka.jpg[/attachment:9d866]50mmpaka.jpg[/attachment:9d866]
Theres gotta be a 4th horse back behind there - got this from lone sentry. That Infantry looks tired heres the origional photo i think the "load" is a tree in the background =)
