Looking for any info on my Dad's service in WWII.
I received a response today from NARA that stated no records except a Final Pay Voucher available due to the Fire.

US Army PFC Billy Lamar Hoyle Service number: 44035850

He may have been in the 402nd FA BTN.

I have a copy of his WD AGO 53-55 and his Draft registration card DDS form 1

His discharge papers state that he was in the Headquarters Battery 745th Field Artillery Battalion.
He entered the service on August 23rd 1944 at Fort McPherson, Ga.
    I found a photo of him 4th Plat. Btry. D 7th BN. 3rd TRG Regt. F. A. RTC Fort Bragg, NC. 1-23-45.

He arrived in Europe on March 6th 1945 and returned to the USA on Jan 30th 1946.
He told me that he was in Blomberg, Germany & Austria. I found a photo of him with his friend:
Cpl. Dixie Bernard Hawks SN. 33664172 with 402 F.A. BTN

I have requested a quote from Golden Arrow research as a result of TD-Tommy776 & other's recommendations.
