Does anyone have any information for these photos of an M8 Greyhound? It seems the first photo is pretty common, but the most description I can seem to find is "location unknown, date unknown".

Not the answer you are looking for, but I'd guess it is taken around October 44 in northeast France (Lorraine?). The terrain of mud, farm fields, and flat rolling hills reminds me of the area.

October or November '44, defo. The Lowlands wouldn't be much of candidate given the terrain, agreed.

Have you inquired at the Center of Military History?

Thank you for the insights. So far, I've been looking through the National Archives Catalog, but to no avail.

The Green Books has a photographic collection, arranged chronologically. May be worth a peek.
