Interesting Polish Map of UK

    Got this from the Services Archaeology & Heritage Association page on FB. This map was issued to Polish RAF members during the war to help them integrate.
    As you can see, placenames used phonetic spellings to aid pronunciation.

    I keep saying Saufend in a mock Essex accent & giggling.

    I am a huge “map geek” when it comes to WW2 maps. Interesting how it was created for the Polish RAF and had the phonetic spelling. Great piece!
