I'm interested in World War II, other military history, and history in general. In that order.
Besides history I'm interested in a number of smaller, less actively pursued and more trivial (short-lived) interests, which I will not bother to mention here...

I'm annoyed by so many things in daily life that how I remain at least acceptably sane is quite a question. Most important on the long, long list are stupid people and their predictable habits and dislikes, and opinions thought to be universal even though they're not. I.e. "everyone likes babies/dogs/soccer..." Not everyone does, because I don't.

 

yeah dogs and babies crap and soccer is crap. 90 minutes and no score! , must be me I live in North America, I want everything fast and exciting.

People who know me have usually learned not to ask me about love since they are in for a rant... Long story short, it is not love we should seek but friendship, as friendship is infinitely better.

 

Agreed - and the use of an acute (´) or grave (`) accent in stead of the apostroph (') is rediculous as well.

Exactly! I live in England so theres like this ultra-crap show called "Big Brother" about a bunch of nobodies livin in some house. It is so unbelivably boring - they just sat there staring at walls for like an hour.

 

Dennis Miller is an annoying a$$hole who tries to be a comedian.

 

I could not have put it better myself.

This plays in Canada and America as well, and is now currently on its 6th installment, yeah. I especially dislike this show because it started the reality Tv hype. Most of that garbage is fake anyways, like how they portrayed Survivor on Family Guy.

Depends on the context.

An apostrophe should be used in place of one or more letters that have been omitted. For example in "Isn't" the apostrophe replaces the "o" in "Is Not".

"Toilet's this way" is in any case bad grammar, as it isn't a complete sentence ("The toilet's this way, sir" is complete), but can only be vaguely considered correct if it's only referring to one toilet. If it is referring to more than one toilet it should have read "Toilets this way" as plurals do not usually use apostrophes.

(I say usually because as with most rules of English, there are almost certainly exceptions...)
