I'm new to this forum and I have been trying to remember the title of a move from the 70's or late 60's that has a scene of an interrogation of a german soldier by a navajo radio operator. In the field, where the interrogation happens, the normal interrogator gets nowhere with the german. So they bring over the Navajo radio operator and they instruct him to pretend like he is going to scalp the german. The radio operator hasn't the slightest idea how to do this; so improvising with a knife in hand, he looks over the germans scalp, grunts a few times as he closely surveys the scalp then lets out a howling scream. Upon hearing this the German fearing for his life, frantically starts to talk. I remember seeing this movie and this scene has always stuck with me. I would sure appreciate any help if anyone out there knows what the title to this movie is.
I remember watching a similar scene in "Snow Falling On Cedars". Except in that case it was a Japanese-American soldier interrogating a German machine-gunner. By the way, don't watch that movie. Read the book instead. The movie is not nearly as good.
