Oh, and if you're looking for Tirpitz herself, she was salvaged after the war.

Op, I am under the impression that the superstructure is still in the water as the hull has been cut up. I found a web site showing pictures of where she lay and there is a structure (according to the caption) on top of the wreck, for crews to work off of, for salvaging.

    Going to find the site...

Tirpitz - Håkøy, near Tromsø, Norway - Then & Now

The caption under the 8th photo makes me think the captioner thinks part of the wreck is still there. But then again, why do we see the platform and none of the wreck? I shall dig deeper...

From what I can tell, some of the wreck remains, though, very little. I watched this video:

and at the 8:29 mark, it shows a sunken ship in the water, calling it out as the Tirpitz.

    Hopefully this link works:
    Google Earth

If this google earth map shows you what I want it to show you, then I'd like to read your thoughts -- In the water, there are dark areas that I find follow the same pattern. I see a shadow in the middle of the screen that I think could be a ship based on its shape, location, and because it runs in a different direction than the large dark areas.

Inconclusive, I think. The remains would be covered by mud by now so we wouldn't see a clear silhouette. And as noted above, the bow is that would be there, exactly how much of the bow is uncertain.
