Iron Cross in movie ''The Train''

    from the movie The Train .....the cross in movie picture with Burt Lancaster definitely has a ring and not a loop...however, the Knight's Cross has a loop and Iron Cross has a ring....but I thought only the KC was worn around the neck?? ...is this a movie goof up?

    As Hollywood goes that's a pretty small one. I still remember a Mash episode where a M-4 drove into the compound and they covered it with a tarp to prevent artillery fire on the camp. At the end of the episode the tarp was removed and I'm pretty sure it was an M-41 that drove out of the camp ....

    I remember in one Yugoslav movie that there were US and Italian tanks with german insignia.

    Post war US tanks show up in a fair number of US WWII movies as German tanks. They are doing a better job now days I believe. Then of course there is the PH movie ...... The exception that proves the rule or does it just prove I'm off base?
