He shouldn't have been on the street. He was bailed out on a murder charge.

Yeah most thought it was an ISIS flag...initital reports....i think instead its a "Islamic" flag that is readily recognisable to Muslims...Should have seen everyone yesterday...Jewish Rabis...Arch Bishops and Islamic Imams all sitting down together and shaking hands ALL distancing themselves from this man...The Muslim leaders have said that Australia is a free and peaceful country and they do not want anything to change that...
I think this was more a media beat-up than anything else...the papers are saying that we are all changed now, a little bit of innocence taken away...but they would say that...its just another freak at the end of his tether.

He was a nutter with a huge criminal case. Good riddance. Innocents died because of him.

This bloke was mentally unstable...we have plenty of footage of him from the past...bolting himself to things....making statements in court...he was one of the people who sent letters to the families of deceased soldiers...Muslim clerics have come out and said they approached him a couple of years ago about his behaviour. they said he bent his head and agreed that what he was doing was unwise and asked the ( Muslim) community for forgiveness...the clerics said that they realised this bloke wasn't the full quid, but didn't for a second think he was violent...I beleive them.
On a lighter note...The big B got on the phone and offered any assistance we wanted...so thankyou to our Yank bros....

A very sad thing for the two young women who died and their families.

I've made that mistake...Tori is a bloke...and the manager of the cafe....looks like he waited till the wee small hours and made a grab for the shotgun (unconfirmed)...that's awesome, and I use the word properly. A good looking, young bloke...
Footage shows the TRG waiting outside and hearing the shotgun go off...they just sprang into action...blowing the windows, peppering the place with flash bomb, one after the other...and firing what I would say about forty plus shots on his location. About four others were wounded, probably from the flash grenades? But no one seriously I don't think...

Perhaps I am cynical, but it seems that the last couple of Muslim shite bags (this one in Sydney and the one a few weeks ago in Ottawa) are said to be nuts. This is a very convenient scapegoat for the Muslims. " Oh he isn't a Muslim, he was nuts". There is no doubt in my mind that folks who commit crimes of violence are in some way nuts.

With all the terrorist Muslim activity of the last decade or so, I have to wonder if these nut bars are being attracted to the Muslim religion as they think it gives them a legitimate reason to act the way they want to?

Like your thinking mate...that's a good head you have there...and you have a point...but it's not one or the other...it's both. There are always going to be lone wolf hitters...(it's easier to act alone than to recruit others in your nut bag idea) the US has a regular procession of them...and they all have triggers...this blokes wasn't so much Islam, but his failed high court appeal...he is smart enough to know how to get attention, this wasn't his first stunt...this bloke wasn't even on the watch list...the community here are not disowning him as a Muslim...just his ideas.

Very sorry for the folks in Australia especially the Manager of the shop and the lovely young woman and mother. So senseless and tragic. May they both Rest in Peace.
Words kind of escape me at the moment but God Bless all of our great allies Down Under!

The bloke and the woman need to be given the Order of Australia for their actions.

On the note of the Muslims well in my area there is a large Muslim population and not one that I have talked to agrees with this guys actions. Sadly their are those that are just plane nut bags and others who just have no heart what so ever and will take a peaceful religious text (the Quran) and twist it's interpretation to suit their evil agenda (if not mistaken was the same not done with the Bible around the crusades??).

    Agree Von.

Salute to you CAC when my quota resets.

I was going to mention Peshawar but this is not the place or time for that. God Rest all the Souls of all the victims everywhere, current, past and future, Amen.

What really gets me angry is the fact that these guys systematically get refugee status because their country is at war and they are "in danger". So they get proctection with the money of taxpayers, they get a roof and in return they spit on those who helped them because they can open their big mouth in our countries and would have been arrested had they said only 1% of what they complain about
.You don't like us ? fine, then don't come !

I get where your coming from but needs to be realized they are only a minority of the ones that come, The majority are actually fairly decent law abiding citizens that just want a better life for their families.

That said I nor any of my friends who have immigrated to Australia are actually against any law that would allow them to be deported straight back to where they came from if they break the law, Clean and simple, Any serious crime or repeat offenders get a boot up the a** with a 'have a nice day :) '

By our standard's they are 'crazy'. Unfortunately for us, in their world they are considered sane.
