I was hoping to hear his account of watching AH fly out of Berlin on the first leg of his flight to South America. Darn! Or maybe he could tell us where the secret bunker tunnels are?

AH actually flew out of Berlin in a U-Boat packed full of kittens and seagulls, both of which were his favourite creatures. He stopped off in Ireland to stock up on his favourite potatoes before continuing his journey to South America where he lived out his days performing a high wire act in a travelling circus.

And how do I know all this? Well...Elvis told me when I met him on a "booze cruise" during a holiday in Spain last year. :D

It would have been interesting to have seen more of AmericanGermanVet's tall tales.

Judging by your english and grammar, I find it hard to believe that you are an American let alone a veteran who betrayed his country due to cowardness....

Let me get this straight, instead of being lined up against the wall for treason and desertion, you were simply realesed into society; where you did what exactly? Teach English?!

Oh please stick around, this is EPIC!

Almost forgot, how was it that you fought during the Battle of the Bulge, spent five months in German captivity and then returned to fight in the Bulge again? Did Germany have 2 Ardennes offensives (the second which came after the war)?

    Ohhh crap, hes gone.....

Wait a second: I've uncovered a whole other aspect to the story. Mr. GermanAmericanVet's email is "GermanBoy1933".

As a twelve year old boy in the Wehrmacht he defected to the Americans during the Battle of the Bulge, was captured (or is that "repatriated") by the Germans, and then, after a short stint in an all-inclusive POW retreat run, rejoined the Wehrmacht. As for fighting in the Bulge again, he obviously utilized his handy Time Machine (this is obviously known as "Der Glocke", for those of you that have been indoctrinated by western propaganda) to go back in time 5 months earlier.

Of course, it all makes sense now!

And we don't need him to explain Adolf's escape to South America, because our good friends that wrote the "Grey Wolf" book already laid out the facts for us!

You know, I can almost see a book here. And possibly a low budget movie.

edit: But as Gen. Patton pointed out - this has already been attempted.
