Bob "Flash" Clayton's story was featured in "Savage Christmas: Hong Kong 1941", one of the 3 parts of the "Valour and the Horror", the McKenna Bros. controversial series of Canada in WWII from 20 odd years ago. I can't speak for the D-Day & RCAF vets but I know Flash, he had no issues with their coverage of Hong Kong.

Anyone wanting to see Savage Christmas: Hong Kong 1941, can view all 104 minutes of it at the National Film Board of Canada site, I highly recommend it, warts and all:

    Enjoy!
