Hi, The Japanese used two types of 57mm guns mounted on both the type 89 and type 97 mediums,
    Type 87 57mm: max range 6400m (HE)
    Type 90 57mm: max range ?????? (HE)
has anyone got the max range of the type 90 please.
    Thanks Yan.

Could only find this out on the type 90 57mm tank gun
    barrel length, 0.85m (33in's)
    muzzle velocity, 380 m/s (1200 ft/s)
    penetration, 20mm @ 500m

As for a HE round have no idea

Thanks Darren, I have searched the net and all I can find is its armour penetration, and for a gun that was developed for infantry support (HE) I cant find no record of its performance in this role.

I suppose you could work it out by looking at the type 87 caricteristics, comparing the two using muzzle velocities barrel length and assuming your using the same round, Max elavation is the same + a little clever maths.
    A rough guese about 5600 - 5800m ( based on the type 87 6400m )
