Despite the Yakuza interlude, I really have no issue with what the students are doing. My real argument is with the Japanese government, which has yet to acknowledge wrongdoing during WW2. I agree that the students have "learned too little about the war". It is not part of the school curriculum, nor is the period of the 1930's. My comment was simply to call attention to the fact that the US also lost people at Guadalcanal.
Repentance is the way to salvation. All Japanese are these who should take down their tinfoil hats and admit that they were the bullies.
I hope no one has taken offense to what I have recently said. I just think that the last few posts have been kind of funny.
I would never delete your enlightening contributions to the truth, nor ban your account. My only real complaint is that your thoughts are so revelatory and earth shattering to our gentle minds that the members here will need plenty of time to ponder your revelations. Until then I'm going to have to suspend your account while we convene on this new reality. I've suspended your account for 23 years, which should give our minds just enough time to catch up to your iconoclasm. Looking forward to your future contributions!
Yakuza is now burried in a cyber time capsule waiting for us to attain his level of enlightment. We have missed his First Comming so let's wait for the Messiah's Second Comming. @Smiley: don't worry and enjoy!
The over the top faux pigeon English reminded me a bit of the French knights on Monty Python and the Holy Grail: "No Chance English bedwetting types! I burst my pimples at you and call your door-opening request a silly thing, you tiny-brained wipers of other people's bottoms!"
Sorry, I can't resist. I got here late and missed the fun from Mr Looney too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxZt4Kxj2cE
@Dave: ROLF :circlejerk: I share your feelings KR. This thread wasn't just fun but opened more serious questions than we have managed to answer: 1. how it is possible that people menthaly capable of logging on can believe in such distorted conspiracy theories? 2. what is response of "normal" people to serious distortions of important historic facts? 3. how we react when someone insults of "our" heroes? 3. how it is possible that in a "civilized" country such as Japan, there is a mass denial of their own history, from the top to the bottom of their society? 4. why the Japanese students treat respectfully just their own "victims"? 5. ... Let's leave this thread alive until it's own natural death. my 2 Yens
