Now this story would make an excellent basis for a movie.
I'd like to know what those Germans thought when he rode out of there on a horse with that terrifying war cry. You know, the Germans had their own 'cowboys and Indians' culture because of the books of Karl May. May was the most popular fiction write in Germany for years, and his German/Apache protagonist, Old Shatterhand, was every kid's hero in pre-war Germany. Even Hitler had read all the Karl May books.
I bet they had some stories to tell back home in the beer halls after the war.
