ladies/Gents anything else in print on the major battles during the wanning months of the war besides F. Kurowski's work ? re: seems his work does not cover all the units by the Kriegsmarine in off shore batteries against the Soviets as well as the major undertaking the populace back towards Germany am curious though Franz's book is nice there seems to be some confusing info. thank you ♫ ♪
Hi E, I THINK David Glantz had soemthing on them? I dont know for sure but when I was looking for Kursk stuff, I found that he had done quite a lot of other stuff vesides Stalingrad and Kursk, and I THINK there was something mentioned about Kurland? Anyway, im going to look again later to see for sure?
Erich i can't remember whether Werner Haupt did on one on Kurland or whether it was just part of his Army Group North book. There are quite a few Divisional histories that cover units involvement and of course Tragedy of the Faithful, regards Paul PS I'm going to Kurland in May on an excavation trip !!!
take me with you Paul............ yeah I wish. you are most correct a bildband almost on the Kurland affair by Haupt, did a little background while waiting for possible responses yesterday. may just pick up a copy there are a few that one could pick up for a dance..
An excavation in Kurland is usually very fruitfull. The fight was in forests and other virgin areas and many things even complete tanks still are somewhere there. there are a lot of videos in youtube. YouTube - Kurland ww2
