Uday's father was inviting various hucksters by truckloads for his own use, people who claimed could see through walls, or telepathically control other people on a different continent. And that was another case of this.
It wasn't 15 bullets, it was several bullets that struck him during an assassination attempt. One penetrated his brain, two others lodged in spinal cord and couldn't be removed. This is why he was limping till the end of his days.
