"A joint team of researchers from the University of Barcelona and CSIC (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas) is excavating a republican fortified line attacked during the battle of the Ebro river (1938), during the Spanish Civil War. The position was defended by soldiers from the XVth Brigade. The unit was in origin composed by the Lincoln-Washington battalion (North-Americans), Mackenzie-Papineau battalion (Canadians) and other international volunteers.
Today this research has attracted the attention of mainstream newspapers:

My grandfather was there. In the other side.

Consider the article: Once again the 88. In the Ebro began using the 88 as anti-tank cannon , but it was a desperate improvisation.

"Some bunkers still show the ferocity of the fight: one received a direct hit from a German 88 mm entered the bunker busting the pocket from the inside."

    7 th paragraph ... "
Soldiers who are protecting the rear most of the palm" The correct traslation of "most of the palm" is "most of them died "... the original "palmar " is a slam for die.
