This is a post to appreciate all the Leopard 1 Tanks. May our hearts be with them and they live a good life in the tank community.

There was a WW2 Leopard - the VK1602 Leopard fast recce tank. Armed with a 5Cm long gun. Only prototype as it was found that a Puma armoured car could do the job.

That was the Leopard 2A6, the Leopard 2 - is the newer bigger brother to the Leopard 1, the last of the 100 was delivered in 2019.

    The other 16 were...
    10 Leopard 2L AVLB - Bridging tanks
    6 Leopard 2R CEV - Engineering tanks

They should have used them on the Russian Front in WW II. Fast, longer range gun capable of defeating a JS II or JS III. :p
