    Indeed. It also seems he is an author who has dropped off the radar due to the passage of time. Replaced by names like Ambrose, Beevor, et al.

    I agree. However, Beevor (who I personally enjoy) doesn't get much love on this forum, LOL. His last attempt on the Battle of the Bulge didn't review well.

    John Buckley.
    David Fletcher.
    Alanbrooke.
    Bart Vanderveen.
    Max Hastings (yeah, yeah, I know, but he can write.)

    Still amazes me anyone enjoys Beevor. (Enjoy his ghastly Spain book. I dare you!)
    Depresses me how often Ambrose crops up.

    It never amazes me how much I enjoy "Beevor" :D
