For those interested, here is a list of living Heroes of the Soviet Union as of 2011. The first 100 names are below. There are likely some name translation issues, as I am using a Russian website as my source.

EDIT: I am trying to post this in a table format (it includes the recipient's name, year of birth, branch of service and number of awards), but it isn't displaying correctly. Until its fixed, just the names of the recipients are listed in the message below.

    Part 2:

I forgot to mention that the recipients have their last name first, and don't always have a comma to indicate this. Once this list is complete, I'll go back through everything and clean it up a bit.

Just a note that the Administrators are trying to look into a way to introduce the tables format. I hope it can get done.

I am not sure about some of the names (a few of them had birthdates prior to 1915, and unfortunelty, I feel some aren't with us anymore); the list is just "interim" -- if I have time I'll go back through everything and try to verify it. I'm also going to try to "Russian-ize" the names, as google translate puts everything to english (for instance, "Paul", "George" etc). If anyone wants to help, please feel free!
