    spoon.jpg .
I found this in a box with my father's things . It was not really with his medals or uniform. He served in Luzon and the Pacific theater. My uncle did serve in Australia . I also had a cousin in the Australian Army . The top says Advance Australia. can anyone help ID this or point me in a better direction ? I have been googling to no avail .
Thank you all very much ! I am piecing together family history , my dad passed away at 57 so much I am gathering is from reading and looking through the old boxes .

Might be worth adding your request to this site. A few Australians on there will be able to help. (Sister site to this one)

It has the Australian coat of arms, but it doesn't immediately stick out as military in origin.

I'd have to say it looks like a spoon rest, but I've no idea other than that.

I'd follow Liberator's advice, if anyone knows it would be the ground squirrels over at WW2Talk.

It's a tea caddy spoon for getting tea leaves out the caddy into the teapot.

I'll ask my Aussie cousins if they've seen similar.

Tea caddy spoon. My gran had a similar one with a different insignia though I can't remember what. Trying to visualize it.
