    It would be interessting to know the losses caused by the Axis. I just found a list about the losses caused by the Kriegsmarine, but I would like to know the others (by Luftwaffe, Imperial Japanese Navy, Italian Navy etc.)
    as well. Hope that someone can complete this list

    Panzerschiff admiral Graf Spee, scuttled at Montevideo on 17 December 1939.

    I think its a bit stretching the term "Capital Ship" if we include Panzerschiffes to that category.

    I agree. I thnik the Panzerschiff were really just slow heavy crusiers. But Graf Spee was the only large German naval vessel lost in 1939.

    Additionally, HMS BONAVENTURE was sunk by an Italian submarine. ;)
