Still in love with that imperial stuff Carl?
I must admit it's a beauty. And not expensive, €70 till €100,-. Is it going to be your next purchase?

Hi Volkbert--yep--I still love Imperial. I recently got two more sets of Imperial Oberleutnants Shoulderboards and a few other items.

I wish I could get this cross but--I just ordered an expensive book from Huesken that I really needed more for my research. I'm hoping to get one or two on the PLM from Detlev--if the price is right.

What book did you buy Carl?
By the way I thought I read some bad stories about Huesken on wehrmacht-awards some time ago. I don't know exactly what is was about but Huesken is in my folder with bad dealers. Am I wrong?

    What does this mean?

    Hi Volkbert.

I bought Walther Peer Fellgiebels book that lists all the names of the Ritterkreuztrager. It is costing me 70.60 Euro and 16 Euro more for airmail. Not bad for a hardbound book from Germany. [IMG]

Personally I have never seen nor heard anything bad about Heusken. I have a few friends who buy from him and have never had any problems. In fact--Andre is also very quick and informative in his replies.

I admit--this is my first order from him but--my transaction went very smooth. I definately will be doing much more business with Andre in the future. However--I will never do business with Weitze again--because someone there has messed over friends of mine and I have had a few problems dealing with a certain person there who i'll no longer deal with.

    The PLM thing--

Detlev is publishing a 3 volume series (hardbound) on all the recipients of the Pour le Merite which covers every year from 1740 to 1918. Already the first two volumes are out and the third will be in about 5 months. He told me all three will be available when I decide to place an order.

I need these books to continue with some research I have been working on for about 4 years now. The only two other books I really need is the Patzwall book on the German Cross in Gold recipients and I would like the book on all the German Cross in Silver Recipients. [IMG]

What are you researching exactly? Is it only to expend your knowledge or also to publish a book yourself?

Remind that I have bio's of very much signal officers's og the W-SS. This book contains lots of stories and pictures and was privatley published.

I'm not exactly sure what I wanna do with all the info i'm researching but, what I am trying to get is:

A complete and correct list of all RKT manes--ranks--dates for award--units etc, as well as those who were also DKiG and DKiS recipients and then those who also got the PLM in ww1.

    I figure I am about 3/5 complete.

Another thing--of all the sites on the net that I know of--none of them have as many names as I do on their lists. There is one site that lists that there are some 7370++ RKTs when in reality--there are ONLY between 7313 and 7320.

I want to have the most accurate list there can be. And eventually--I think it will become a part of this site but not yet sure.

Wow, that sounds like a huge work to complete. Good luck with it! If you publish in on this site with a search engine that will be nice. It will be even nicer if you can also publish the bio's. Only the copyrights are blocking you then I think.

Many thanks and yup--tis a huge project. I don't know when I will be finished with it but--the way I will have it set up will in no way be like anyone elses setup.

Also--I will be adding more info to the list that others do not have and I might see about getting mine copyrighted. [IMG]

It's not bios but basic stats on every known RKT with the extras that i'm currently working on that I will be adding to this list.

My basic goal is to improve on, update, and have the most accurate list that is either published or not published.

I fully intend to see to it that this site will have this list. [IMG]
