    Hi
I wonder if anybody has any wartime Army lists, which could help identify which branch of the armed forces the above officer served in during WW2.
I recently bought a pair of WW1 medals named to Captain Rowland Rix, and with his medals were 2 dog tags named to his son, but no information about what unit or branch of the services he served in. On the tags with his name was a number 246307, i don't know what the number means, presumably a service number of some kind.
His father served in the R.A.M.C in WW1, so it's a possibility that he may have served in the R.A.M.C himself.
If anyone can help with any information, i would be most appreciated.

    Regards
    Graham
