"During WWII, German aircraft designers put forth many aircraft project ideas, which ranged from the practical to the bizarre. Some of these ideas were ahead of their time and reached a more advanced design stage, and even affect aircraft today. Within the pages of Luft '46 you will find descriptions of these aircraft projects, illustrated with three-view drawings, model photos and custom color artwork.... "

This is a very interesting site, it makes you wonder what would have happened if any of these oddities entered widespread deployment.

Ah yes, the good 'ol Luftwaffe "pipe dream / fantasy" site! There are a few tidbits of useful info there along with quite a bit on stuff that would never have seen actual sheetmetal cut.
Few, if any of these projects would have actually gone even to prototype stage. Most are the musings of desperate designers in the last throes of the dying Third Reich.

I'd be surprised if anybody takes that website seriously, what I miss most in that site is mention of the Raiders of the Lost Ark Flying Wing. Now that's Aryan technology at work [IMG]
