Maginot Line

    Unpopular opinion: the Maginot Line was a good idea if it had been properly implemented. The problem wasn't the actual defense it was bad French leadership who wouldn't protect the Ardennes forest plus the Belgians who backed off on their part of reinforcing the rest of the Maginot Line.     A static defense vs roaming enemy tanks and dive bombers just wasn't practicable by the mid 30's..I might be wrong but wasn't there talk in the 80's about rebuilding the Maginot Line???..wish I could find that article.
