Band of Brothers must be my all time favourite series - it really blew me away - especially the episode when they first come across a concentration camp - i think it was entitled "Why We Fight".

My Grandfather was a young Engineer, and his unit came across one of these camps. He never really talked about it, but what he did say was that the smell would stay with him forever - they could smell it from miles away.

Was this series really as accurate as it seems, or was it full of mistakes and historical errors?

It seemed like a good series, not an expert or anything. But most films contain historical errors. It's very hard to follow things correctly, when you have to deal with a movie.

I have not seen this one, but based on the information listed here I am definitely missing out on something that is good. So I will have to check it out.
