Map identification

    Can anybody tell me what this is.
    It was rolled up in a French 19th century tapestry that i have just purchased. See attached picture of a clear overlay with red and green hand drawn spots.

    Sorry the attachment was too large. Should be ok now. The tapestry was brought across from France but that's all I know about it.
    I guess it could be a weather map.

    Personally no idea but there are other experts on sister forum www.ww2talk who specialise in specific areas and love this type of thing - may be worth a posting.
