    Seventy years ago today, 13 May 1944, "The men of an AAA Bn. Battery C, couldn't go see Marlene Dietrich, film actress, and her USO show, because of 24 hour watch, so Dietrich came to the Gun Pit. L to R: T/5 Robert B. Mayer, 2018 N. Main St., Dubuque, Ia., Col. Albino Martinez, La Jara, Colorado, Marlene Dietrich in seat of Gun, listening to Sgt. Clyde Fought, Oshkosh, Neb., as he explains the 40mm AAA Gun to her and 2nd Lt.     That is a great picture and a wonderful story of dedicated entertainers and troops.
