Welcome to the forums! Nice work identifying the wreck. Are there any plans to recover anything from the aircraft?

    Thank you.
To answer to your question, there are no plans of any kind to lift anything form there anyway we might go one more time there to try to narrow down the exact crew as we have some hints for what to search but also to try to find the engine as that one was not seen yet.
We are usually documenting shipwrecks from the area, so a plane was something atypical and extremely rare because of the low profile of the object that leave small or no sonar signature.

Our goal is to take nothing and leave behind only bubbles or not even those if rebreathers are used when diving.

    Excellent work guys, well done!

One remark though: Finland did not "join" the action on 25 th June 1941.

Finland was bombed by the soviets on 22nd - 25th. On 25th the Finnish Government announced, that
the country was again in a state of war. On the following day Finland declared war on the USSR.

The first Finnish limited offensive was on 29th June. The main Finnish offensive did not start until
    10th July.

I'm pretty sure, that you are well aware of this all. The choice of words however makes all the difference.

    Thank you for the explanations.
For sure this way how you explained, is the correct chain of events, anyway, we tried to cut it short but it seems that it was too short :)

    No worries!

I'm just allergic to words/terms which even hint towards the soviet way of twisting the history. I know that you didn't mean it,
but too often we in Finland don't even notice using the old soviet pleasing self-censored vocabulary.
Maybe you for example remember the opening texts in the movie "Tali-Ihantala" - otherwise a decent picture?
